
This course explores human movement and the interconnected systems, principles, and influences that shape physical development. Students will examine how physical activity impacts both health and performance, trace the historical growth of physical activity and sport, and investigate the physiological, psychological, and social factors that affect participation. Designed to build a strong foundation, this course prepares students for postsecondary studies in physical and health education, kinesiology, health sciences, recreation, and sports management.
